An Exploration of the Words of Now that we live in a data-rich world, seeking real knowledge has become vital and sometimes seems hard to find. Past the facts and figures lies a richer place of learning: the field of vocabulary. It’s not enough to learn facts when languages help shape our thoughts and perspectives. To begin, we’ll introduce a rarely used word: epistemophilia which means the love of learning just for its own sake. Since epistemophilia points to a deep interest in gaining knowledge, it is different from what we learn for a test or practical skills. It wonders about things just because it finds them fascinating. To learn effectively, we should become aware of our own ways of thinking. The internal narrator watches as we learn, understand our difficulties and experience our achievements.
